More on Dead Space
So I had a friend come over yesterday to help me out with Dead Space. To be more specific, more like a cheerer. Though he really didnt do any cheering, as he was more focused on building his SD Sinanju while listening to me cuss at the necromorphs, hoping that somehow it’ll inflict damage to them and my dog flirting and cuddling with him. My friend told me that there’s really nothing to be afraid of, that I should be more afraid of the living.
Uhmm… I am running for dear life from reanimated DEAD people turned monsters, right?
After some running, needless hiding and procrastinating, I managed to man up and faced these ugly sons of alienshit. It was then, we realized that I’m actually a good shot. I guess all that sniping from Mass Effect finally paid off. I was also getting less paranoid over the shitscares, but I was still paranoid of the sounds and the dark. What add more insult to this, is that I’m already using a visual walkthrough to ease my suffering, but it seems to do little of what I hoped for it to do.
After clearing 1 stage, I passed the controller to my friend. He was fast, but he keeps missing some items, and save points so I had to rant about that too. While he did almost 80% of stage 3, I managed to hold my own elegantly against 5 slashers and a leaper in a cramped room with no damage at all. But in real life, the fibers on my arms were tinglling in fear and adrenaline rush. I hate that feeling.
We managed to finish this round really fast, with me still occasionally screaming and cussing and a little flinching.
Though, later that night, I woke up from weird dreams of being chased by necromorphs in a underground train station and I was fending off my own with a chainsaw…Too much Dead Space, I guess….
